28 years ago today. Still the best singer I ever saw. Sadly missed.

Can it really be 28 years? Like you say, who knows... After the Folk Britannia series went out there were several people on the BBC messageboard saying when is the Beeb going to do a TV documentary on Sandy - perhaps they'll get their act together in time for the thirtieth anniversary?

There certainly seems to be one in the pipeline, but I do not know if it by the BBC.

Some of the artists at the Oxford Folk Festival were interviewed as part of it, but I was too busy doing other things to find out more. Sorry.

Bit late with this one I know (WKWTTG?)
Agree with the above sentiment entirely, not that I ever had the fortune to see the Lady live, God bless you Sandy.

I, and I expect loads of others, certainly hope this comes off.

The documentary crew I met were from Australia and were filming an hour-long special for Aussie TV on Waterson:Carthy.  I gather that it will also be available to watch on the internet when it's completed.  They didn't say anything to me about Sandy Denny and I don't recall seeing any other documentary crews around that weekend.

That was another crew doing something completely different, Suzanne.

At one point I felt like I had TV and radio folk coming out of the woodwork, what with Verity doing her vox pop, the Aussies who filmed all and everything and this other crew who were only interested in the interviews re Sandy Denny! These were done in a private room in the Town Hall to avoid any noise interference, so you probably did not see them.

I think this may be the same people that contacted Swarb & Ashley Hutchings. They are an independent production company  who were hoping to interest international, as well as "home", distributors. I don't know how far they've got with that side of things.
