Title: Reference Impaired 2
Post by: PLW (Peter) on May 29, 2006, 11:17:00 AM
OK, so you've solved the mystery of the "Sorry Dear, Rabelais Off" sleeve note on "Nine". Now, what about the notes on "Angel Delight" - headed "Excerpt from a forthcoming book by RW Gee".

Who is/was RW Gee? Did the book ever come forth?

Have seen this recently Robin Gee was the tour manager at the time, but don't know anything about a book.

i always just assumed that it was a stream of consciousness, and the book thing was just a way to finish it off

Absolutely spot on Jim. These notes of Robin's only appeared on the US release of Angel Delight, BTW.

I was a callow 16-year-old when I bought AD on the day of it release in 1971, and it has the Robin W Gee notes on it. . .does that mean I somehow acquired a US import?
