Title: Fairport's version of John Barleycorn Post by: red max on July 21, 2006, 10:18:51 AM As far as I've been able to establish, setting this song to the tune of We plough the fields was the idea of Ken Langsbury of Cheltenham. The Songwainers used to sing it this way. Any idea if this was Fairport's source?
