Enjoyed RT's acoustic numbers and good to hear the three of them talking about L&L at the end.
Nice bit after one of RT's songs where Tom Robinson was obviously blown away by Richard's playing. ??? 8) Title: Re: Ashley, Simon & RT on the radio Post by: YaBB Master (Colin) on July 27, 2007, 09:14:08 PM Could have listened to them nattering for hours. They came across well and RT was as impressive as always.
Title: Re: Ashley, Simon & RT on the radio Post by: Philip W on July 28, 2007, 10:28:26 AM Thanks for telling us about this. RT sounded genuinely surprised about the L&L "deluxe" edition - obviously the first he'd heard of it. I'm glad I stuck with the channel for the next hour as well - Bob Dylan's Theme Time Radio Hour - as His Bobness included Sandy singing "Pretty Polly".

The whole show is 2 hrs long and I don't want to skip any, in case I miss any chat. Sorry that you'll get all the **** in the middle, but it's worth the listen. The RT session tracks are great.
Some of these other tracks (ie stuff that isn't RT or FC) are trully awful. Sorry, there's some hip hop and rap in here Title: Re: Ashley, Simon & RT on the radio Post by: Bob Barrows on July 28, 2007, 04:27:38 PM They cut off the last few min. of Matty Groves "due to rights restrictions"

Title: Re: Ashley, Simon & RT on the radio Post by: Philip W on July 28, 2007, 06:31:13 PM While we're on the subject of BBC radio...
Mike Harding show, Radio 2, 8 August, is promising a "Fairport Convention mini-feature". Title: Re: Ashley, Simon & RT on the radio Post by: Sir Robert Peel on July 28, 2007, 07:42:10 PM And also on the subject of Radio 2. I'm told that the BBC will no longer sponsor Cambridge Music Festival after this weekend.

Title: Re: Ashley, Simon & RT on the radio Post by: Anne T on July 28, 2007, 09:32:36 PM I recorded it on digibox, as unable to listen at the time. I've recorded TV programmes before and then burned them on to a DVD. Therefore I suppose I could record the broadcast on to a DVD. Seems a bit weird though, recording audio on to a DVD not a CD - or am I just being ignorant?
Title: Re: Ashley, Simon & RT on the radio Post by: Polly Oxford (Andie) on July 28, 2007, 09:55:20 PM Cheers, cos I can't get the hang of this recording lark. - I thought that was the only reason for keeping teenagers? No, they do a good job of keeping ferrets out of the house. The ferrets don't like the smell ;D Title: Re: Ashley, Simon & RT on the radio Post by: Jim on July 28, 2007, 10:30:55 PM listen again is working for me now
its all coming together beautifully 8) Title: Re: Ashley, Simon & RT on the radio Post by: Shane (Skirky) on July 29, 2007, 02:33:45 PM Marvellous ;D Currently in the middle of Dad's Gonna Kill Me. It would have been nice to have someone who's not such an uncomfortable presenter doing the job, mind. Oh, and if anyone's thinking of having a listen, you won't need to sit through the first half hour.

Title: Re: Ashley, Simon & RT on the radio Post by: Anne T on August 01, 2007, 12:14:05 PM Cheers PLW - that's what I thought. Going to do it for someone who couldn't use the listen back service.
