Having seen the band at Cropredy I'm really looking forward to the show in October. It's the first on the British tour. Will send review after.

Which reminds me I first saw the RT Band in Glasgow in the early 80s. Possibly 83 at a club called Nightmoves. Anyone know where I can confirm dates? Are there any sites that list all previous tours? I've still got the set list taken after the gig from the feet of the man himself.

I've seen him several times in Edinburgh including a very cold gig at St Mary's Cathedral one Christmas. RT came on wearing a black t-shirt while the audience were all keeping their coats on. I guess that's what the pre-gig adrenaline does to you.

The nearest gigs to me later in the year are either Leeds or Manchester. Shame he's not playing Blackpool again. Can anyone recommend either the Irish Centre or the Bridgewater Hall?

well the bridgewater hall is a great place,  great acoustics and nice big seats for the fatter arse ::)

Could be a good one as it's the last date of the UK tour. Decisions, decisions.

Have driven to Lancaster from North Liverpool to attend the University for the last three years and at rush hour. Seldom takes much longer than an hour.

OK town takes fifteen - twenty minutes from the end of the M58 but to get to town for an evening performance shouldn't take as long as to Leeds and perhaps Manchester. I don't speed I travel quickly! ::)

Agree with Jim about the Bridgewater Hall although the Phil is fantasic for acoustics.

That's the more important factor - finding your way to the venue. I'm not familiar with Manchester or Liverpool city centres so would have to allow time for taking wrong turnings! I think Manchester is looking the more likely. Might have a look at train times too.

Trains to Liverpool from Lancaster are a hit and miss.

Trains back from Manchester are hopeless as the last one leaves at around 21:45 so it looks like we'll be driving.

Got our tickets to see RT in Basingstoke end October. Hope the roof is watertight !!

Is anyone going to the Cambridge gig. I'm really happy as it's standing downstairs, something I wish they'd bring back for the FC gigs. Do come and say hello if you do see me.

I'd written it off, as it is a week night, but I've just noticed it is in half term, so I won't feel guilty taking a 13 year old and getting back late. Basingstoke here we come!

London & Birmingham for me....

I will be there Olly. To make up for being too "tired and emotional" after Lieg and Lief, wine and sun, to be able to appreciate RT properly at Cropredy. I also really like the Corn Exchange as a venue, and it is only an hour or so's drive from here. If I see you, I'll come over and say hello. I am downstairs too- far better than sitting upstairs.

Haven't bought tickets yet, but i have every intention of being at the glasgow gig. Possibly with one or more of my parents in tow.

How many more (parents) can you choose from ?
