Title: 100 Club Post by: davidmjs on September 17, 2007, 10:52:47 PM 2 tickets for the 100 Club gig on the 11th Oct have just been sold for £7.09 on eBay. I'm not entirely sure what to read into this........... ;)

This has reminded me that I need to do something about getting some tickets - although in my case this simply involves walking down there at lunchtime or after work. Are any other TAWers attending?

You get a great sound there. The toilets are shocking , really disgusting!

Real Ale though, and in the basement. Stage across the long side of a rectangular room - bar at one end, fire escape at the other. Can get sweaty if it sells out - otherwise read the FAQs on their website (http://www.rhythmat.com/) Should be there myself.... Going to JB's records was an experience in itself. All second hand and mostly vinyl with someobody trying to sell them albums of dubious value for more than they were prepared to pay. We'll have something like 150 chairs out and usually attract around 200 people, so those lucky 50 can stand by the bar, join in and drink very nice pints of Youngs 'ordinary' and Flowers Original for not much more than you'd pay in the local pubs. The club was founded in 1942 and has had just about everybody worthwhile play there from Louis Armstrong to Oasis, Howlin' Wolf to The White Stripes and The Rolling Stones and Kinks to Paul Weller and Chas & Dave.
