I could be wrong, fairport could be one step ahead of me. Title: Re: Winter tour... Post by: Angela on August 28, 2008, 02:19:38 PM That, and the last five dates of the tour slip back into February, but we all know what they mean and I'm sure it will be corrected soon ;)
Title: Re: Winter tour... Post by: Anna on August 28, 2008, 03:20:43 PM Just seen that, the dates are all over the place! Looks like we've missed Milton Keynes by nearly 2 years! I never even noticed!

Post by: Sir Martin on August 29, 2008, 02:22:27 PM Burnley Mechanics for me (and maybe Huddersfield as well).

I once heard Simon Nicol observe that in the US we think 100 years is a long time while in the UK you think 100 miles is a long way. More than a little truth to that, I think. Huddersfield for me, as I don't like the free-for-all seating at the Burnley Mechanics, plus the LBT has seats that are more luxurious! :D Also looking forward to seeing the support act - Ken Nicol and Phil Cool - that will make for a good evenings entertainment then. ;D Title: Re: Winter tour... Huddersfield for me, as I don't like the free-for-all seating at the Burnley Mechanics, We've just decided to put theatre-style seats all the way down to the stage this time rather than having the tables and chairs on the flat bit. Can't say if they'll be allocated by row and number though... plus the LBT has seats that are more luxurious! :D Also looking forward to seeing the support act - Ken Nicol and Phil Cool - that will make for a good evenings entertainment then. ;D As are we: a stylish combination of talents! Can't say if they'll be allocated by row and number though... If they have the seating right down to the stage at the Mechanics then they tend to allocate the seats on booking, well at least they have for other gigs I've seen there with this layout. I still think I'll go to Huddersfield though as it's a cracking venue and I can get there quicker than Burnley, which is a definite advantage for a mid-week gig! Title: Re: Winter tour... Post by: Ollie on September 16, 2008, 04:28:11 PM Still dunno where to go. ??? It'll probably have to be Hunstanton, as it's the only one that's not on a school day. Why Hunstanton? North Norfolk's answer to Great Yarmouth....
Title: Re: Winter tour... Post by: Chris on September 17, 2008, 11:26:11 AM Brum Town Hall tickets now available... http://www.thsh.co.uk/page/town-hall-birmingham/ Yup - I've got mine! The side balcony is the place to go - virtually armchairs up there, and a great view of the stage. Don't like the new password they're forcing on you - a capital letter (fine), and a digit (fine), but ALSO a symbol?.....everyone will instanstly forget their passwords! Title: Re: Winter tour... Post by: AdrianW on September 18, 2008, 08:55:26 PM Front stalls for me at Birmingham Town Hall.
I can see me using the forgotten password option on my next visit. Title: Re: Winter tour... Post by: Professor Bob on September 25, 2008, 03:25:30 PM I think its a shame Fairport never seem to play in or near Bristol. Might have missed something here but they always seem to give it a wide berth. ???

Agree with you Chris, I used an exclamation mark, but won't remember that next year! Got my tickets too, upstairs second row Grace Title: Re: Winter tour... Post by: Chris on September 27, 2008, 03:44:07 PM I spoke to the Box Office manager last Saturday - she said that she accepted the complaint, and the staff felt the same way as they require the same sort of passwoed....
I then said that punters need something memorable as they certainly don't log on every day like the box office staff..... It's going to management. Title: Re: Winter tour...
