Title: Trader Horne re-release Post by: arie on October 01, 2008, 11:33:53 PM Just read at Spin cd's (but others will undoubtly carry this too) - it is/was available on cd before:
Esoteric Recordings are pleased to add to their catalogue this classic acid folk album from 1970. “Morning Way” by Trader Horne has achieved legendary status alongside other classic examples of the genre such as the album by Mellow Candle (also available on Esoteric). Featuring original Fairport Convention vocalist Judy Dyble And singer-songwriter Jackie Mcauley, “Morning Way” was an early release on Pye Records’ progressive imprint Dawn. Although selling limited numbers upon release, the album has acquired mythical status over the years, thanks to the album’s masterful compositions and arrangements. Jenny May / Children Of Oare / Three Rings For Eleven Kings / Growing Man / Down And Out Blues / The Mixed Up Kind / Better Than Today / In My Loneliness / Sheena / The Mutant / Morning Way / Velvet To Atone / Like That Never Was / Bonus Tracks- Here Comes The Rain / Goodbye Mercy Kelly (Esoteric/Pinnacle) (Make Like Luke in the last one before the bonus tracks) cheers oldeu Title: Re: Trader Horne re-release Post by: AdrianW on October 02, 2008, 12:53:00 AM Morning Way is delightful, some of the best of Jude's early work. I especially like Down And Out Blues. I'm glad that it is easily available again. Recommended!

Title: Re: Trader Horne re-release Post by: jude on October 14, 2008, 07:03:56 PM Apologies if I sound a bit glum about this reissue.
I was hoping to have some input into it, but alas! it was not to be. At the very least I was hoping to correct the spelling mistakes...they've even spelt Jack's surname wrong on the blurb, but they haven't answered my emails. But it is a good album and one that I am still very proud of. 8) And I still hope to record with Jack again, he writes really great songs ;D Title: Re: Trader Horne re-release Post by: Jim on October 14, 2008, 08:55:28 PM aha!

The recent reissues of ELP's Brain Salad Surgery and Pictures At An Exhibition are an absolute disgrace. |
