Title: Sandy Denny night in Belfast, 21 January
Post by: Philip W on January 11, 2009, 03:31:37 PM
The Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival in Belfast is holding a “Sandy Denny night” on 21 January, 8.00.

Featured artist is Linde Nijland. Must be an open mic night as well, as it says: “If you would like to perform a Sandy Denny song at this event contact [the Festival director] Sean@cqaf.com.”

Beforehand at 6.30 Joe Boyd does yet another promotion for his book.

For which they charge £4....I wonder whether one gets a discount off the price of the book if you purchase on the night?....otherwise it seems that one is paying to hear Joe sell...

Sounds like your average gig to me... "don't forget to come and say hello to us after the show! We'll be at the merch stall."

Indeed - but you will have then heard the artist perform for 90 minutes or so.....yeah, I guess Joe reading from his book counts....
