Title: Teenage Cancer Trust raffle at Brum gig
Post by: Amethyst (Jenny) on February 12, 2009, 01:21:10 PM
I have been asked to pass this on to you all

Teenage Cancer Trust raffle at Brum gig

Anyone out there fancy helping to sell raffle tickets at the Birmingham Town Hall gig? Teenage Cancer Trust has a unique copy of the Heart of England Vol.2 CD with gold artwork and the signatures of most of the artists who contributed tracks. These include Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull, Rick Wakeman, Ralph McTell and all the Fairport chaps. There will also be two other prizes. We need about 12 volunteers to sell before the gig and during the interval. The draw will be made before the encore on the night. If you’re interested send me a message and I’ll put you in touch with the organisers.

Hope some of you can help.

I've just been asked by the organiser whether there are any more volunteers for this worthy cause...

Even if you can only offer half an hour you will be making a difference.

Come on lovely peeps......

I've just booked my ticket so I'd be more than happy to sell tickets during the interval if that's any use.  Let me know where I need to be.

Seems we have enough volunteers now. Richard Shaw, the Director of Fundraising at TCT, is coming along to help and we have some help from the Fairport camp. Many thanks to everyone and see you Saturday. Nobody leaves without buying a ticket! ;D

Big thank you to all who helped at the Brum raffle for TCT, especially Big Dave & Adrian W who had the graveyard slot in the top bar. Heather Burns-Mace, the Head of Regional Fundraising for TCT, was knocked out by the help and enthusiasm of the Fairporters and sends her thanks to all. As Big Dave said elsewhere on this board, £800 was raised for the charity. Many thanks.
