Title: Expletive Delighted Post by: Addie on January 19, 2010, 11:10:48 PM Anyone know why this site stopped being updated?
Unfortunately all the content as gone now which is a shame because the Cropredy info was good for looking up who played when. Title: Re: Expletive Delighted Post by: Andy on January 20, 2010, 12:06:24 AM Did you try emailing Ian & Stephanie Rennie? Their website is http://www.musikfolk.co.uk/
Google is your friend in that cached versions of a lot of the pages are still available, although probably not for long. Title: Re: Expletive Delighted Post by: Speleologist (Robin) on January 20, 2010, 12:23:58 AM It's still all there as a part of the Musicfolk website

Title: Re: Expletive Delighted Post by: Jules Gray on January 20, 2010, 08:51:46 AM This site was an essential tool for me when I first started checking out Fairport. I hope it gets a new lease of life somehow or other.

I'm pretty sure there was even an ad for it in one of the Programmes of the time, but I'm damned if I can find it. Probably false memory syndrome. Again!
And yes, I'd love to see the info on Expletive Delighted saved for posterity, and indeed, updated as, like for many others, it is an essential reference work for when all else (ie my brain) fails (as happens more and more often these days!) Title: Re: Expletive Delighted Post by: Addie on January 20, 2010, 09:58:57 AM I didn't know it was part of another site Andy, so didn't think it was worth emailing. Tis a shame it hasn't been updated.
Title: Re: Expletive Delighted Post by: Andy on January 20, 2010, 10:10:04 AM It didn't used to be part of another site, I guess they may have subsumed it into their main website to cut costs.

I think you referring to "The Fairport Connection" by John C. Falstaff One of the leaflets for it read: Publication due Autumn 1992, so if it's the same one that you seem to remember, it was a bit earlier In the end it didn't get published, never got a refund for the 20 pounds I did pay Michael Young of Cruiskeen Lawn Press for a copy Title: Re: Expletive Delighted Post by: quodlibet (Ian) on January 21, 2010, 01:08:31 PM Talking of which, does anybody remember (probably in the late 90s I think) flyers and names being taken at Cropredy and elsewhere for an Encyclopaedic reference work on the band (discography/gigography/bio etc etc) that was going to be produced? Does anybody know (of) this Mr JC Falstaff? Title: Re: Expletive Delighted Post by: Barry on January 21, 2010, 01:39:56 PM Funnily enough, this seems to be on the Expletive Delighted site:

Title: Re: Expletive Delighted Post by: jude on January 22, 2010, 12:03:09 AM I am pretty sure that the Expletive Deleted stopped being updated for personal reasons, and it is unlikely to be updated now, but I will ask a man who knows the man and find out..
:) Title: Re: Expletive Delighted Post by: fstix (Michael) on January 23, 2010, 02:59:20 PM I notice the Musikfolk-sited Expletive Delighted now says its last update was January 2010 - though all the pages I checked were still stuck back in 2006.
