Title: Joy Mining

Hello Iain,

I think Joy Mining is among the very best work you've done over the years. Is there any likelihood of performing over here with the quartet?

I think "Joy Mining" is THE best work I've ever done. I realise it's not everyone's cup of tea, but as an artist it answered lots of questions for me.
I'd love to bring them to the UK, but the problem with traveling with the quartet is of course finances. 5 people need higher fees and more accomodation. As I said earlier, I'll be there in June with Egbert and that will give folk a taste of what it's like.

. . .which begs the more interesting question: what were the questions it answered for you as an artist?

1) If there are borders..are we supposed to stray beyond them, or stay cooped up within.
2) If you never test your limits, how do you know what they are.
