Title: Iain Matthews in Austin Post by: John From Austin on February 02, 2011, 07:32:27 AM Saw a wonderfully intimate Iain Matthews show tonight at the Cactus Cafe in Austin. This was Iain's only new world date before he returns to the older one.
He played a solo set with acoustic guitar, followed by a second set with accompaniment on electric guitar and keyboards from some skilled cronies dating to Hamilton Pool and Iain's residency here. All wonderful - he's in gorgeous voice, as usual. Afterwards, I asked if he will be at Cropredy 2012 (45th anniversary, what what). He said no one's invited him yet...
