Title: Danny Baker Post by: ColinB on June 12, 2011, 11:01:29 AM Going off topic a bit but I was shocked to read the interview with Danny Baker in the Guardian yesterday. I'd completely missed hearing about his battle with cancer. But he seems very positive about it all.

If I may add a question relating to other DJs, I wondered, Mark, what you think about the professional musicians who are turning their hand to radio presenting e.g. Huey, Jarvis, etc. I even heard Bobby Gillespie the other week interviewing Mick Jones. Personally I think Huey is one of the best DJs around just now. He's got such a great voice for radio and a wonderfully laid-back style. Plus the FLC's debut album is a classic. 8) I'm a fan of Lauren too but I'm guessing her music-making days are behind her now what with her TV + radio work. I just saw on Wiki that she's been a panelist on BBC Radio 4's Just a Minute. Workaholic or what? :) |
