Title: Re: Southend Sounds '76 Post by: Dave.P on May 30, 2013, 08:46:50 AM two quid a ticket (2.50 on the door ) Its got to be worth a looksee hasn't it
i'm sure even then it wouldn't break the bank !!! :D Title: Re: Southend Sounds '76 Post by: PaulT on May 30, 2013, 09:22:31 AM I'd hazard a guess that "I'm Going Home" (ALB) and "Breadfan" (Budgie) were played.
I wonder if any of the other Southend/Canvey Island band members joined in with Mickey Jupp - Kursaals, Feelgoods, Chilli Willi.... Title: Re: Southend Sounds '76 Post by: Thor-Rune on May 30, 2013, 04:12:08 PM That was the Gottle o'geer line-up. Possibly their first gig. I was tempted, but ended up at Charlton for The Who, Sensational Alex Harvey Band, Little Feat, Outlaws, Streetwalkers and Widowmaker instead. Can't say I regret my choice. And I did see FC a week later in London..

For a while they were all washed up. Then they were sort of just hanging around. Then they ironed out the problems. Then they (allegedly) came out of the closet and are now a top drawer act. But some people think they're pants.
