Title: Early Photos Wanted Post by: YaBB Master (Colin) on August 17, 2017, 02:50:44 PM The Fairport office is working closely with an independent film production company called Special Treats on a television documentary about the band's first fifty years. The 90-minute film will be broadcast later this year.
The production team need your help. They are after photos of Fairport's early days in the late 1960s and early 70s - group shots or individual members, formal or intimate, posed or impromptu, indoor gigs or festivals large and small. They also need shots of early Cropredy festivals and the fore-runners - the garden gig at Prescote Manor, the farewell concert at Peewit Farm in 1979, the Broughton Castle event, and Cropredy in the early 1980s. By way of a postscript, Special Treats got a good response from their appeal for photos of Fairport's early days. They want to thank all you Talkawhilers who sent in images. Any photos that are used will be credited in the film. The Fairport documentary is nearly finished and will be broadcast during November. Watch FC's website, Twitter and FB for transmission date.
