Title: When 'Omer smote 'is bloomin' lyre, Post by: jimc on July 02, 2018, 02:25:02 PM Having a pleasant bike ride through the Surrey countryside this morning I found the Albion's "Along the Pilgrim's way" somewhat inevitably (think v3) earworming me, and then it struck me. Is there a distinct resemblance in the melody to Swarbs "To Althea from Prison"?

When like committed linnets I With shriller throat shall sing The sweetness, mercy, majesty, And glories of my King: When I shall voice aloud how good He is, how great should be, Enlarged winds, that curl the flood, Know no such liberty.
