Musically it was a curates egg but as always Cropredy was fab despite some rain. Proper reviews and thoughts later but in the meantime if anyone hears of someone finding a 2002 Fairport baseball cap with a Disney badge on it (grumpy-one of the 7 dwarves) then give me a shout. Managed to lose it in the rain on Saturday night. Yes I know I’ve no chance of getting it back but this is Cropredy after all so you never know. The serious ones... Eric Sedge's ballad to his adopted daughter and the long term affects of her early life. Richard Digance's "Salisbury" made the hair on my neck stand on end. and the delightful.... Kate Rusby's Bill rescuing a woman from "a lukewarm glass of water, a dusty teabag and a pot of UHT milk". I have needed that Hero so many times. :) The tradition rolls on. If it hadn't been for the big screens I am not sure I'd have known who some of the artists were!
I enjoyed the artists I saw and missed a lot because I didn't want to sit out in the rain. I think I'm getting soft :) |
