Too right Title: Re: Cregan and Co Post by: Bingers (Chris) on August 12, 2018, 03:11:07 PM Cregan & Co were the Trevor Horne Band of this year playing well known and much loved songs that Jim Cregan had featured on in the past. This appeared to go down very well with everybody singing along. I really enjoyed them.
Can someone tell me why artists like Cregan & Co take all their CDs with them when they leave? I wandered into the.CD tent on Saturday casually considering getting a Cregan & Co CD but was informed that they’d taken them all so bit disappointed about that (apparently Midnight Skyracer did the same) Title: Re: Cregan and Co Post by: David V B on August 12, 2018, 07:26:41 PM Really enjoyable especially the Come Up and See Me solo which brought back very happy memories. Also the Fairport mandolin Orchestra Maggy May!

Title: Re: Cregan and Co Post by: StephenB on August 13, 2018, 12:21:04 AM I was getting a bit tired of 'Rod Stewart in his girlie years'...then they redeemed themselves with Maggie May and the amazing mandolin outtro. Lovely.
Title: Re: Cregan and Co Post by: Bridgwit (Bridget) on August 13, 2018, 01:02:38 AM Thoroughly enjoyed them. The singer/piano player was right up my street - loved him. Enjoyed the selection of songs and had a good singalong too. Great stuff :)

Title: Re: Cregan and Co Post by: Poor Will (Bill) on August 13, 2018, 08:56:52 AM Enjoyable singalong stuff.
I understand he co-wrote lot of Rod Stewart’s song, so I guess he has as much right to sing the songs. I understand he co-wrote lot of Rod Stewart’s song, so I guess he has as much right to sing the songs. Probably even more so than the Trevor Horn Band last year in what they did but I loved both acts ;D Title: Re: Cregan and Co Post by: Tasha on August 14, 2018, 06:44:14 PM Really enjoyed this set. So good to hear the "come up and see me smile" solo played by the original musician! ;D I love the quote from Rod stewart that says - "if you cant afford my ticket go see these guys they're just as good and half the price !"
Title: Re: Cregan and Co Post by: Will S on August 14, 2018, 08:10:40 PM Enjoyed them from my seat, but they weern't quite as good as Trevor Horn band for me. Maybe just because I wasn't so familiar with the songs?
Title: Re: Cregan and Co Post by: Paul on August 16, 2018, 08:39:09 PM Brilliant set, really enjoyed hearing all the old songs. Singer was good as well.
Good to hear Fairport playing John Peel's mandolin solo. ;) ;) ;D Paul Title: Re: Cregan and Co Post by: Delfini (Diane) on August 28, 2018, 11:07:58 PM Really enjoyable.
Title: Re: Cregan and Co Post by: Ancient Muse (Andy) on September 12, 2018, 02:18:43 AM Never having heard of Mr Cregan, I didn't know what to expect. Mike (Bridgwit's Long Suffering) said Rod Stewart. I grimaced, not being keen on the skinny, much-married croaker. I then proceeded to sing along and enjoy myself throughout the entire set, especially Come Up and See Me. Didn't see Trevor Horn, so couldn't compare, but thought this was great.
