Title: Returning acts Post by: NickNickNick (Nick) on November 08, 2018, 09:48:39 AM Any thoughts on mid bill acts that have played in the past and should make a return appearance?
My vote is for Blackbeard's Tea Party who were excellent a few years ago and have only improved with their recent offerings Title: Re: Returning acts Post by: Amethyst (Jenny) on November 08, 2018, 10:18:50 AM The Pierce Brothers.. deffo!

If ever a band deserved a second chance, not playing to a rain drenched audience. Deadzone need a warm summer's night. (Well there was one in 2003) Title: Re: Returning acts Post by: Albie on November 08, 2018, 11:41:50 PM Dreadzone for sure, but a later slot this year as they were lost last time. Yes! Title: Re: Returning acts Post by: StephenB on November 09, 2018, 10:12:52 AM From the same bill, despite my expectations, IMO the Blockheads blew Horslips off the stage.
Sonny Lister, Katzenjammer, Calan (they've really grown up..), Skerryvore, and I agree it's high time for a repeat visit from Trad Arrr. Title: Re: Returning acts Post by: Bingers (Chris) on November 09, 2018, 10:21:14 AM From the same bill, despite my expectations, IMO the Blockheads blew Horslips off the stage. Sonny Lister, Katzenjammer, Calan (they've really grown up..), Skerryvore, and I agree it's high time for a repeat visit from Trad Arrr. Being purely selfish, I’ve seen The Blockheads so many times (they play Colchester in December every year) and I also saw them way back in the early 1980’s with the late great Ian Dury that I think I seeing them yet again would cause me to leave very early. I did love Horslips though ;D Title: Re: Returning acts Post by: Poor Will (Bill) on November 09, 2018, 01:14:40 PM Horslips....anyone? :) Title: Re: Returning acts Post by: Bridgwit (Bridget) on November 09, 2018, 01:49:27 PM No no NO Never Horslips - I really didn't connect with them.
I'd be happy to have Roger Hodgson (please!!!) Buzzcocks Litle Feat Trevor Horn Madness Jamie Smith's Mabon (to do a full set this this time) 10CC Alice Cooper Wishbone Ash Title: Re: Returning acts Post by: Tom64 on November 09, 2018, 01:57:19 PM Someone who impressed me immensely many many years ago:
Ron Kavana Title: Re: Returning acts Post by: Jim on November 09, 2018, 02:07:01 PM Horslips....anyone? :) Well, me for one, but sightings of Horslips, anywhere are few and far between. Although various members turn up together in a fairly low key fashion. All five members and the more usual 4 + Ray Fean rarely take the stage together. Title: Re: Returning acts Post by: Andy on November 29, 2018, 10:26:05 AM Aussie Pink Floyd, because I missed them last time. Disappointed with them last time. Title: Re: Returning acts Post by: Will S on November 29, 2018, 10:49:07 AM Aussie Pink Floyd, because I missed them last time. Disappointed with them last time. I thought they were great (as they were again last month at Hammersmith). For me, it was the Waterboys who dsappointed me last time round, so if they really are playing again next year I hope they'll impress me more.
