Wendy and I will be there, Stewarding again, if we can.

Another excellent lineup for an excellent festival . We rebooked straight after last years knowing they would do us proud.

What sort of numbers of attendees are there please?

I would guess at 3 to 4000, but Covid apparently halves it. We felt completely at ease this year.

As NickReg says, the peak has been about 4,000 on the Saturday (there's room for more). Lots of people regard it as similar to Cropredy in the early days, including Sir Norm. NFFF will be 10 in 2022 and improvements are implemented every year. This year was the switch to National Grid power from generators for a reliable power supply.

This year's target was 1,500 peaking at just under 2,000 (I believe) with stringent COVID precautions and testing set by the local Council and enforced by the Stewards on entry every day. There were no COVID positive customers that we know of.

We popped in to see Nick and Helen Curtis yesterday on our way home from Portsmouth.

Most importantly, after a bout of ill health last year, Helen is fit and healthy.

The NFFF site has had many land drains put in after the mud and puddles of last year. Nick has been working diligently with the digger ("he loves that digger" - Helen) and flattening out various areas.

Day tickets are not being sold as yet. Nick says that they may become available in June, depending upon Coronavirus. He's being cautious.

All-in-all the site's looking great, Nick and Helen were looking great.

Wendy and I will be there, stewarding as usual, so we hope to see you there. If the weather yesterday is repeated, it will be a stonkingly great time for us all.

Yaayy that's good to know. I'm going this year, and i can't remember the last time I had a stonkingly great time...

Great news particularly as we got bogged in last year. Sad to hear that the festival doctor has passed away after the way he looked after me several years ago.

Looking forward to it. Slightly tempered by the fact that eldest sproglets latest graduation is the week after in Southampton so it'll be two long motorway trips from Lancashire to Hampshire in two weeks! Ah well,it's a nice problem to have really. :)

**TICKETS** With much regret we are now unable to attend this great weekend, I have two full weekend with camping tickets (5 day tier 2 early bird) for which i would like £150.00 the pair, We are so sad not to be able to go  but if anyone can use the tickets the financial 'hit' won't be quite so bad. NFFF was a great success for us . We took two NFFF virgins with us and sacrificed them to Singing session. We were blessed with fantastic weather . We have booked for next year (Why wouldn't you ??? ) Great to see old friends, new friends A really smiley festival

It was indeed a great week for us - very enjoyable. The heat made for some fraying tempers, but there was no real upset and the vibe was really good.

See you there next year.

Didnt see any evidence of that. Mind you we didnt visit the bar very much to avoid dehydration.

Mostly engendered by Wednesday's queuing to get the vehicles in.

We visited the bar, no problems there.

The queues for the bar were extremely slow on Friday evening when we were there - understaffed and spending ages to fill four pint containers. As a result I missed half of Ralph’s set - though could hear it from the queue so not all lost. Very much enjoyed his set and especially Lindisfarne. First band I ever saw and it’s still like meeting old friends. I can never get over how much David Denholm Hull sounds like his father in law.

I agree with Daivd, David Denholm Hull sound eerily like Alan Hull especially when singing Winter Song. Although I really enjoyed their set, like most bands of that era, they are looking more like a tribute act these days. Ralph is still the real deal though, both in voice and guitar.

Ralph's set was absolutely superb.

It was very much en point, though and his disappearance was swift.
