Title: The Aggies Post by: Amethyst (Jenny) on December 02, 2023, 04:13:36 PM Spending day after day, week after week selling tickets, getting stuff ready, visiting the hall, emails and a million other jobs I am now just one day away from introducing Chris, Chris and Julie onto the stage at Rainworth Village Hall fir the 18th year running (apart from the Covid cancellation years), and I a so happy and excited.
Luck me 😁🎻🎸🎼🎄 Title: Re: The Aggies Post by: Will S on December 03, 2023, 09:50:52 AM Mrs Will bought us tickets yesterday to go and see them at Honiton on the 14th. It will be a good way to be welcomed back to the country, and start getting my head into Christmas mode!
Title: Re: The Aggies Post by: Amethyst (Jenny) on December 03, 2023, 01:52:36 PM People are now phoning me to ask if the gig is still on and saying they might not be coming … the reason being bloody THICK SNOW…. wishing it had waited another day!
Title: Re: The Aggies Post by: JJ (Joanna) on December 03, 2023, 07:30:49 PM Oh dear, typical! We only had a light dusting, gone now !
Seeing them at Maldon Town Hall ;) Title: Re: The Aggies Post by: Will S on December 04, 2023, 03:25:17 AM People are now phoning me to ask if the gig is still on and saying they might not be coming … the reason being bloody THICK SNOW…. wishing it had waited another day! Hope that it was able to go ahead, Jenny, and that you got a good turnout, despite the snow. Title: Re: The Aggies Post by: Amethyst (Jenny) on December 04, 2023, 12:12:28 PM It was absolutely wonderful, and even the dear departed was kind of ‘with us’!
And typically the thick snow has now disappeared! It couldn’t have come at a worse time! Slept til midday though! Title: Re: The Aggies Post by: JJ (Joanna) on December 12, 2023, 08:58:08 AM The tribute to David and the emotion felt at Maldon Town Hall last night was very fitting.
Wonderful to still be able to laugh "We've got our lights up, we've got our Christmas lights up" ;D ;D Sadly missed but a fabulous Christmas evening getting us in to the spirit of it all and David's spirit was certainly felt last night. :-* What was missing was David's guitar sound driving it all along plus his wonderful prose and overall presence.... He would have been fairly outraged because the bar was 'out of action' Let down by the company at the last minute so we had to nip to M and S and bring in our own! Title: Re: The Aggies Post by: Amethyst (Jenny) on December 12, 2023, 10:06:01 AM Lovely review JJ. Glad you enjoyed it.
We are going again to the last night in Barton on Humber, loved it so much. Title: Re: The Aggies Post by: JJ (Joanna) on December 12, 2023, 10:55:43 AM Lovely review JJ. Glad you enjoyed it.
