"One project which is really exciting, if it comes to fruition, is that Wishbone Ash and renowned British folk rockers, Fairport Convention will possibly be coming together to produce an album to follow on from the recent success with our acoustic shows. The brainchild of Barry Riddington, our label head at Talking Elephant, this project will realize a long term dream of mine, since Fairport has always been an inspiration for me in our music on material like Errors, Ballad of the Beacon, Sorrel etc. These songs being a directly influenced by the work this band did during the late 60's."

Seems to be a problem with the Ash site  Huh Can anyone else follow the link above?

edit-just tried it on another puter and can only get as far as the front page on the Ash site. Seems the gremlins haf left the Aggies and absconded to the Ash site.  Fez

Works now. Think it was traffic as you said Chris. I tried from a LAN connected m/c and a dial up one and neither worked. Anyway, does anyone know any more. Is it just production or is it a combined album with them playing. Could be interesting.

Wishbone Ash for Cropredy anyone ??

Sounds like an interesting idea.  I love some of the early Wishbone Ash albums, but haven't seen or heard any of their newer stuff since the early 80's so I have no idea what they are like these days.

I saw Wishbone Ash in a pub here a couple of years back - they were fantastic.  Ash admitted that Argus was inspired by Fairport's forays into electric trad folk-rock.  I would be very interested if such a collaboration came to anything..
