Recently -in another thread- Dad Volt mentioned "The Mary Ellen Carter" hmmmm,  I thought, I love that song and would like to hear what Fairport would do with it.   So, are there any songs you'd love to hear FC cover  and any thoughts on how you'd like them arranged???

I'd love to hear Simon sing Richard Shindell's haunting "Reunion Hill"
Any one else have a wished-for song??

"4 minutes 33 seconds" - John Cage

I'm fairly certain that will be performed at Cropredy during the marathon Saturday night set: but we plan to break it up into bite-sized sections. So what you might mistake for emabarrassing hiatuses while guests' instruments are encouraged to connect with the PA will be, in fact, hommages to the 20th Century's free-est thinking serious musician.

Deneze-Sous-Doue (On The Wall) by Whippersnapper (it's not realy a cover song, as chris wrote it)

I think Fairport could do a great job of that and it should go on the next album

I enjoyed the few Squeeze numbers FC did with Glen Tilbrook last year, but I was waiting for Slap & Tickle - Simon's voice would have been perfect. Or Even Cool for Cats!
