Can anyone tell me if Five Seasons and Gladys's Leap are still available? Apologies for (probably) covering old ground. Tongue

Sorry - I was joking (badly).  If plenty of copies are available on eBay it might be thought that lots of people don't want to listen to them.  That's not, of course, the case...oh no... Wink

Actually I listened to Gladys Leap the other week.  Enjoyed it.  Must be two decades since I last heard it.  Haven't heard Five Seasons in years either...

Probably 2 of my 3 favourite albums from the post 85 line ups. And Five Seasons is in my top 10 all time Fairport albums.

Gladys doesn't really have a lineup does it...it sort of exists in it's own little world!  I don't know why - maybe a lot of the pics of the recording sessions seem to show this - but it strikes me as very much DMs album.  It's probably just me  Smiley

Me, too. I have never understood the hostility shown The Five Seasons by some people.

I don't think I've ever heard much hostility shown towards it...? I'm not a big fan, mind...

I suppose you could say it gave birth to the first post 85 line up. The core of Simon, Peggy, DM & Ric.

Gower flower, if you're not in a hurry and gladly use Ebay, I could recommend the 2fer1 "Gladys Leap & Expletive Delighted" double CD. It pops up now and then, especially on the American site, often with starting (and finishing) bid of  $0.99

If you are happy with downloads they are available on emusic.com which is cheaper and easier to use than i-tunes.

I never heard much "hostility" toward it.......but I never saw any praise for it either.  RED & GOLD and CROWN were a lot stronger records to my ears.
