I never knew it was on Cassette! Cd is Nico Polo CD003  - I bought my copy direct from Mark Ringwood (I think I posted him a cheque).

I have the frst 3 CD's on the label

NP001 - Ric Sanders - Whenever
NP002 - Gordon Giltrap & Ric Sanders - One to One
NP CD003 - Mastercraftsmen

I don't know of any subsequent ones so maybe it's all there ever was! I believe the parent label, Marco Polo, specialised in obscure classical stuff and it seems it's now defunct.

Simon did the tune during an equipment problem at an RT Big Band show in '83 - I think in Ohio somewhere.  They went on to do both Calvary Cross and Night Comes In during the set.

Not a bad evening, indeed!

I've got it on tape somewhere.......

Amazing CD, just received a copy. I just googled for it, found a copy on sale from a US cd shop www.cduniverse.com, ordered & paid total of £9.61 including Airmail P&P, took 14 days to arrive.

The CD is number 16 on the Terra Nova label under licence from Marco Polo. On the rear cover it says 'File under Fairport Convention'.

Other CDs on the label are Barry Gleeson, Cordas et Cannas, Nick Harper, Reet Petite & Gone, And Did Those Feet, Artisan, Les Barker, Anthony John Clarke, Arcadia Reach, Gill Whitehurst, Mick Ryan & Pete Harris, Mind Pilots, Ravi, Now Here This (sampler), In The Wake, Master Craftsmen and finally One to One (Rick Sanders & Gordon Giltrap).

Looks like it's worth trying to find some of these others.

PS The Simon Nicol rendering of 'End of A Holiday' is beautiful!

Cheers

I wholeheartedly agree about the recording of "End of a Holiday", it's superb. Shame that they're not listinc Ric's first solo album, "Whenever"
