Going off topic a bit but I was shocked to read the interview with Danny Baker in the Guardian yesterday. I'd completely missed hearing about his battle with cancer. But he seems very positive about it all.

I did post the above as a reply to Andy's (Shades of Danny Baker's "Sausage Sandwich" quiz!) comment on the cheese on toast thread but it's ended up here looking a bit lost on its own.

If I may add a question relating to other DJs, I wondered, Mark, what you think about the professional musicians who are turning their hand to radio presenting e.g. Huey, Jarvis, etc. I even heard Bobby Gillespie the other week interviewing Mick Jones.

Personally I think Huey is one of the best DJs around just now. He's got such a great voice for radio and a wonderfully laid-back style. Plus the FLC's debut album is a classic.  Cool

I'm a fan of Lauren too but I'm guessing her music-making days are behind her now what with her TV + radio work. I just saw on Wiki that she's been a panelist on BBC Radio 4's Just a Minute. Workaholic or what?  Smiley
