Just listened to a 'seleccion'... they sound identical. Except 'Performance' is a way superior mix. Great stuff...

You may be right, but it may not be a good idea to judge by a sample off the site.'Cropredy.....' is the more official release,'Performance' is the material liscenced out.I doubt the label had the masters to remix it,but maybe they did.

Having just done an A/B comparison on my main system, I can confirm that 'Performance' has a lot less tape hiss. So even if not remixed, they've tweaked the EQ. But with no audible detriment to the dynamic range, strangely. Only tested via Spotify streamed at 320, but the 'unofficial' release is definitely a lot cleaner. I can only think that somehow it's from an earlier generation master (but not, I agree, remixed). I'll stop there at risk of uber-geeking!! Many thanks for your info...

it'll definitely be 'official', rather than 'unofficial'. The band will have licenced the album, so will be paid.

If indeed the band are the 'owner'....
