According to Expletive Delighted it was ten years ago this month that Gerry Conway boarded the good ship Fairport.
That no only makes it his tenth anniversary with the band, but the tenth anniversary of the current line-up - the second longest lasting in the history of the band.
Three Cheers for Gerry. He not only filled some massive shoes but added his very own style and approach to percussion to the band's sound- not too mention his vocal talents!

I think he did a brill job replacing DM. I have a DVD of FC performing in '98, and Gerry plays percussion and drums on it. So even though he'd just joined the band, he took it on right away. Good Old Gerry.

Ten years already!  Doesn't seem possible.  Doesn't time fly... (and other great cliches of our time)

Well congratulations to him.
