Watched and adored (and thats not just cause I'm on it!). Fairport really relaxed and enjoying themselves as they weren't being filmed intentionally for a DVD. It shows how comfortable they are performing together and with guests. Love it. Enjoy watching eveyone! Sally x

...and arrived! It sure looks promising - a couple of old RT favourites, mmm- but I´ll save it for a less snowy day later this week when I can concentrate and get into the right Cropredy mood. (Aha, Friday evening, someone said! )

...and it's very good with not only some great Fairport numbers but also RT with his rhythm section from the "Hand of Kindness" album doing two numbers therefrom. Two of my RT favourites!! I especially enjoyed the video footage during the Festival Bell and "Summer in December". The DVD shows why we love the band and why we want to go to Cropredy every year! If you haven't got it, order it. It doesn't matter whether you were there or not!

Probably wont be getting a copy until February 11th, but as always I am looking forward to purchasing another Fairport live gem. Is there any footage on the DVD apart from the List that's already been posted?

A great review of the DVD from Nigel Schofield is on the Fairport website.... http://www.fairportconvention.com/cropredy_news.php#news1It is a superb DVD, being such a fantastic reminder of three happy, sunny days on that field, and we were able to pick out Dennis, and a few others in the crowd shots.

The camera work is excellent with lots of close-ups of fingers doing their work; dancing around the fretboards and strings. I was particularly interested to see the EOAH intro to Matty to check I'd got it right, but Simon turns his back on the camera at that point. Blast! The Festival Bell and Summer In December videos are indeed interesting, as the review says, but what's that about Where's Henry? Is it a reference to the "Where's Wally?" books or something else I've never heard of? Generally speaking, I'd say the DVD is a very good record of the Cropredy 2009 performance and an enjoyable watch. I think the packaging is a bit disappointing ... but as a bootleg not bad
