Hmm, are caremelised pears entirely suitable to be eaten by a Northern lad like yourself, Mark? Sounds like Southern food to me, and probably London at that. Have to admit, does sound delicious though. Will have to try it.
I think Stuart has even been known to eat sun-dried tomatoes, hasn't he?! I think Stuart is a bit of a foodie. He once spoke on their prog about the time he spent an astonishing amount of money on scotch eggs, at a market stall in Moseley. I think it was about £28 or something incredible. I might have some cheese on toast tonight, nice and quick after a couple of hours at the gym.

Have just eaten cheese on toast. Slices of mousetrap, with bits of nice extra mature on top, on some very nice granary bread. Lovely. With a nice salad of tomato, olives, cucumber and gherkins.

Thick slices of Bloomer bread, slabs of really strong cheddar, a couple of pickled chillies. Whap it under the grill. When it is done heap on a splash or ten of Lea & Perrins and some pepper.
You can add a slice of tomato if you like salad.
This is a winner after the pub.

Hiya,
Sounds like I’d luv that recipe – I luv cheese, but I can't bear it when it's stringy, or mousetrap cheese. It's got to be on white toast, with a bit of that American mustard on (French's).
