Change of email address and this board

Hi folkies. I'm switching our ISP soon and so my email address will change at the same time. Do I log in under the old address (which presumably BT will no longer support) and then change the email address in my profile?

I suppose my question is about whether or not one can sign in if the email address in the login process is no longer valid.
