This just posted on Facebook...

An precedented chance to have the fiddle prowess of David Swarbrick on your song!

To celebrate the announcement of the tour of these two wonderful acts, we are inviting you to submit your song, which may or may not currently have a fiddle part, for a chance to be on a special commemorative cd, 'Passing the Baton' which will organised by Folkstock Arts Foundation's agency Folkstock Represents in conjunction with Folkstock Records. We will record  (multi track) you performing your track (if you do not have the stems already recorded) at no cost to you, so that everyone is eligible and there is no barrier to access this opportunity.

Dave will play/add a fiddle line to up to his favourite tracks from those submitted. If your track is chosen, you will also be invited to perform with Dave on stage at one of the dates on the forthcoming tour which runs through April and May next year. We will also promote you and your song across various social, print and radio media channels.

There are still tickets available for this at Harpenden tomorrow evening. A bargain at £10.

I've just noticed this thread.

What a wonderful gig that was  at the Musician.  I was amazed at Dave's energy and his joy at playing well over time.

Belated appreciation.

Great gig at Harpenden on Saturday. (Harpenden people don't usually leap up and whoop and dance, but they managed to convey the impression of wild revelry while firmly anchored to their seats)
The Maiden have vastly improved their vocals and harmonies over the last year.
Swarb was on good form- wonderful playing and great stories and humour. A privilege to hear him. Didn't get the name of the guitarist who accompanied him for most of his session, but it worked really well.
