I'm about to return a CD with bent digipak, and wondered if this was because of the long transit . . .
I find that most digipaks come somewhat creased in the mail these days. In their case, using those thin corrugated cardboard mailers is probably the main reason.

You've nailed it there Jules. I've got in the habit of actively avoiding ordering Digipaks by mail for this reason, especially from companies who use this packaging. I didn't know this one was a d'pak, was expectinfg a jewel case.
