Yes, an excellent obituary from Simon, which really sums up the man that Neil was. Thank you Simon. Those unofficial Fairport gigs in the Town Hall were something special.
And the nights in the pub; not just Fairport, but Lindisfarne, Gordon Giltrap and a host of others. And an audience, much like Cropredy, that spanned the generations. Lunch times too, were special, with Neil's amazing cooking. But the thing I will always remember is the warm welcome and wonderful wit that was the White Bear in Neil's day. I consider myself privileged to have known him.

Very sad news... remarkable bloke. Also thanks to Simes for a fine obit - you know old Nicol writes very, very well... how's the autobiography, Norm? Cheers Neil Cutts... gone but not forgotten

Listening in the car today to AT2/The Boot, cd number 2, track 2. Probably a track most of us skip as it is all chat, but it contains a lengthy interview with Neil Cutts. In 1982, a man at the height of his profession and powers.

Neil's funeral, which took place last Friday, received extensive coverage in our local paper, the Ripon Gazette, today. I've scanned the cuttings and they are available here. I'm a bit short of web space, but will try to leave them up for a couple of weeks. Robin

They should be fine, but one is quite big (1.5Mb) as the text wasn't readable at lower resolution. Give it time to download. I've just done a refreash and it loaded OK for me.
