See Ya All There!

Show : Fairport Convention

Show Dates : Tuesday 28 February 2006

Ticket Prices : £14, £15, £16

With Special Guest P.J. Wright

The legendary inventors of British folk-rock music are back featuring five of the genre's finest musicians - Simon Nicol (guitar, vocal), Dave Pegg (bass, backing vocal), Chris Leslie (fiddle, mandolin, vocal), Ric Sanders (violin), and Gerry Conway (drums). Having won huge critical acclaim over the years with groundbreaking albums such a Liege and Lift, Fairport's greatest strength has always been live performance. Come and listen to songs from their new album 'Over The Next Hill', and contrast these with classics such as 'Matty Groves' and 'Meet On The Ledge'. See www.fairportconvention.com for more information.

PS No mention of Winter Tour Dates 2006 on Fairport.com yet!

Sounds like an unusual and exciting setlist then   Sad

Though Liege and Lift sounds good, would that have been in collaboration with Otis Redding then  Grin

St Albans has a real ale bar, all seating and a car park you can get out of in less than an hour. It depends how tribal your bit of Tribal Essex is, I suppose. My bit of NW Essex to St A's is a doddle.

In reply to Malcolm...i'm kind of Cambridge end of Essex and being a non-driver leaves me at the mercy of bullying/persuading friends or family to have a night out with me!(saying that i have made many Fairport converts this way!) Grin
