I sympathise with Peggy and hope he gets well soon. We all face demons in our lives at some point.

"That which doesn't kill us, makes us strong" Next person says that to me gets a boot to the head. Anyway, I have no idea what is going on, but send my very sincere best wishes to Dave Pegg for now and the future...one of the nicest gentlemen I have ever met.

Glad to see that things are looking up for the dear chap if he's getting ready for Dylan Project and the Winter tour. Was getting quite worried that he wouldn't return at all with news of the Acoustic trio in the U.S rachel

It's good to get an update isn't it. Thanks chaps, especially Peggy. It can't be easy knowing there are so many people out there wondering what's happening, especially at a time when you really don't want anything to do with anything. That is one gorgeous bass. He seems to like Crafters. I like the plain wood finish.

I feel slightly uneasy when reading all comments (or phrasing of some) regarding the missing Peggy. Very sad though it is, brilliant as he is, sincere sympathy to him and his - no one seems to mention the valliant Vo F, stepping into the breach at short notice as he has done, and doing a wonderfull job. I m h o, a hero!

Peggy has been a member of FC since 1969 and that generates a lot of loyalty. Vo is, no doubt about it, doing a sterling job. Regard for Peggy does not denigrate Vo.

And, this thread was about Peggy's message and the genuine concern for his wellbeing. It wasn't about the band as such. Mic

Agreed and understood, just wanted to make a point, as have seen no praise for Mr F anywhere Maybe you should start a thread for that Mag I'm sure you would find that there is a lot of admiration for Vo. It's just that this thread was more for good wishes for Peggy, that's all. Mic

I think the fact that loads of people have wished Peggy health (can I add mine to that), and everybody has said, take time out to recover, is a reflection on how Vo is doing as well. Nobody has said, get back as quick as you can. This obviously means that fairport is in safe hands with Vo as a stand in.
This must certainly help Peggy, as he doesn't need to worry about the band, and can get on with recuperating.
Paul
