When I went to download the file, it would only save it as "get.asp" - asp being a Photoshop setup file. This was rightclicking and "Save File As" on a mac. However, I noticed it was 3MB same as the audio file, so I downloaded and changed the extension to .mp3 . It worked fine! If anyone else had the same issue, there's a fix for you.

That is a bit queer! I've downloaded it twice (on PCs) and didn't experience any problems either time. At least it worked for you in the end though, with help from your guile and observations! I'm sure Mark Coyle at wovenwheatwhispers will see your message and provide the techy explanation/fix!

A quick update...the 'Rosie' fund has had a nice boost thanks to those that came to see Songs from the Blue House at Farnsfield on Saturday - about £75 was raised in the fez that was passed round as we played 'Rosie' live; this was further boosted by £20 of Farnsfield Acoustic raffle income, and then topped up to £100 by them as well! I think the total raised so far must be in the region of £300, which is certainly an impressive start. If anyone would like to contribute, please go to www.wovenwheatwhispers.co.uk and follow the 'Carey Convention' link to download 'Rosie' and donate to Cancer Research UK. Good work all round everybody.

Help needed! Basically Kath Hancock has had the idea of getting flyers advertising the 'Rosie' download to gigs on the current FC tour as well as upcoming Lazarus dates, or indeed anywhere else you might feel is appropriate...and we wondered if any of you fine people could help? I can send the flyer (2 flyers per A4) in Word or Microsoft Publisher format or as a pdf (in fact I've attached the pdf to this message) for you to print out/print one and then photocopy, or I could print some out and post them to you. Obviously the former is preferred from my point of view, to save on Blue House ink, paper and P&P costs and so on. It's just another way to contribute to the cause and if you feel you can help, please IM me. Many Thanks, James [attachment deleted by admin]

And how about at all the Hancock awards - they were named after the man himself and the publicity of the awards being presented might just stir some interest, especailly as Swarb is their 'patron'.

I would think it would be polite to ask to before chucking them all over the tables yes, but hopefully a quick explanation of the cause to the venue/promoter will help . If no tables, try leaving a pile by the entry/exit point(s).

Please be very careful chaps. We don't want any of the artists getting the impression that 'The Hancocks' are only there to promote other activities. Personally I'd let this round of presentations go ahead without even promoting the board. I want people to trust that we haven't got an ulterior motive.

Speaking personally (and presuming to also speak on behalf of the brethren) being a member of the board I don't have any reservations about promoting this initiative for Cancer Research or to it being linked via the award. So on the FM site there is now a grateful acknowledgement to all you good folks and a link to the download page. And I'm sure Jude and I can remember between us to mention it somewhere along the line on April 1st at Chipping Norton. D

Which is fine, because you know us and hopefully the word will spread. Hopefully artists will read this and follow the Mahone's fine example. I'm just saying be careful, especially with the larger egos.

Received loud and clear Colin, but the flyers don't promote Talkawhile, just the download. I'd be more surprised if the Hancocks didn't promote the Cancer Research UK fundraising, surely as 'other activities' go, it's fairly easy to make the connection. Point taken about the egos; I've got quite a large one myself. Lastly, many many thanks to The Family Mahone for the link to the 'Rosie' download - it is sincerely appreciated by all that have been involved in the fund-raising, I'm sure. Thank you, Doc.
