Just been to see Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. In the first few minutes of the film Harry and chums arrive at the World Quidditch Championships. The camping field scene depicts a variety of brightly coloured tents and huge tent poles atop with flags and some strangely-dressed people...

it would seem that the set designers had clearly based this on Cropredy. Is this true - I think we should be told!

And what's the chance of some Quidditch for the kids (and the adults) at Cropredy 2006? Would go down a treat....just the antidote to an excess of 6x....  Grin

Quidditch at Cropredy?  great idea!!!! I can just see SN now Roll Eyes

Of course there would need to be an alternative to broomsticks for (ahem) at least one of us...
industrial vaccuum cleaners perhaps. Will there be any truth to the rumour that 'Cropredyers do it on a Dyson"? Grin

Always thought Dave Swarbrick reminded me of Bilbo Baggins but once I saw Harry Potter I could only think he is a distantish relative of the Swarb! Grin

Swarb is however a much better wizard.
