Actually it wasn't but I was in the loft the other day, and I found this, it has quite a few Fairport related piccies and articles and it reminded me about lots of stuff form that time I thought I would share some bits if anyone is interested.

First thought on the cover piccy is how Maart looks like some sort of 'Fast Show' type comedy scouser(Which I realise is NOT then sort of thing to say to a proud Mancunian)- "Caaalm down, caaalm down" and Ric's hair is superabundant, and why has Peggy got a very sensible Cardigan on? Ladies if you look closely I believe Ric is wearing leather trousers aaargh, someone catch Mic I think she's fainted. Just wait until I scan the picture of Chris Leslie looking like a 12 year old cheeky chappy. More later  Fez

Leather trousers.................................oooooohhhhhhh

The pic I have of Ric in Leather Trousers (oooooooohhhhhhh)  seems to be wearing out... something to do with badly directed drooling I suspect. Wink

Yes please DV, I'd love to hear more details from the mag Smiley (see, I remembered the topic Wink)

This piccy is from a review of the Chris Leslie & Nick Hooper LP (Remember them) Turning Tables which apparently features a version of 'The Swirling Pit'. Doesn't he look cute!!

Last two for now, these are actually quite historical as in this issue of the magazine, there was a feature of old photos from the 60s. So Ladies & Gentlemen I present to you Trevor Lucas (Dig the beard man!) & Dave Swarbrick.

I was just listening to a compilation that had Ian Cambell folk group on it. Swarb's voice is so distinctive. They did some great seafaring music. Thanks for the great photo scans.

I remember this shot of Chris Leslie.  Didn't he have a hit with that song "Owner of a Lonely Heart" during this period. Wink
