2.  Which band is the odd one out - the Albion Band, Steeleye Span, Dylan Project, Fairport Convention?

I wonder how many different answers we can get for that one...

The Dylan project has never had a female singer, nor was it founded by Ashley Hutchings
Simon Nicol has never been a member of Steeleye Span (I don't think!)

I can't think of odd ones out for Fairport and the Albions but I'm sure they muist exist...

Evenin all,

Steelye was founded by Ashley Hutchings, Groover, but he only played on the first two albums

also-we have to be careful about calling the Manor sessions 'officially sanctioned' - I gather that Peggy and Swarb were fairly miffed that they found the light of day - Swarb has complained in interview about not having control over some releases and even hinted that the manor tapes may have been stolen.

Ok drummer queston for the other anoraks - on the 'history' cover Tom Farnell is cited as drummer on the Hen's march, which predated the release of Rosie by a few months, but by the the time Rosie came out DM was cited. Was this just a mistake on the part of Pete Frame, not having up to date info (keeping track of lineups at that time must have quite a task) or did TF play on an earlier version? Anyone know? Anyone care?

i dont know if he was cited as playing on the hens march, but he appeared on the photo that was published in "History of"
it might have been re-recorded but sounds the same to me
i have a feeling that the photo was used because they needed a pic of the latest line-up
not because it had anything to do with who actually played on the track
any way he did more gigs than shaun frater

I've just checked the sleeve notes for Ten Man Mop - Ashley is credited, and pictured with a rake (the type with a pole and tines).
