Just found this in an ancient scrapbook - came out of the Melody Maker, if anybody remembers that august organ. There are more if any of you find this one educational Cheers - Ed [attachment deleted by admin]

Well once you start scanning it's hard to stop...
One is a flyer which I picked up at a Fairport gig not that far from Farnsfield in mid 1979, and the other is a cover of a defunct organ called Beat Instrumental - April 1971 issue. Fab gear eh? (especially Swarb's coat)
Cheers -Ed

Those are amazing Ed. How many of these hidden gems exist and other "situations vacant" style adverts?

I used to subscribe to Beat Instrumental when I was a kid. Don't think I went back that far though.

I also used to buy "Beat International" too. Much more readable than the alternative "International Musician". Most of the copies I still have somewhere date from mid to late 70's but I do have a '68 copy featuring Cream.

I have seen a Farewell 79 Tshirt being worn at Cropredy in recent years. Is it one of you guys?

Still got mine and it still fits (just!) It gets an airing once a year.

All this talk about still being ab;le to wear things from the FC archive has got me wondering if anyone out there has got, and can still get into a pair of the FC scanty panties which were sold sometime in the early 1980s?

Iain Matthews .... later had a number one with Matthews' Southern Comfort's version of Joni Mitchell's "Woodstock".
Well worth checking out any of his solo or post-Fairport work. I'm particularly fond of the "No Grey Faith" album of Sandy covers.
