I've got an '84 in reasonable nick. This ancient relic only appears once a year at cropredy. I'm already planning to frame it once it looks ready to disintergrate. You're welcome to take photos. there's a lass who regularly shows up in an '83 t shirt (a weekend in the country) shouldn't be difficult to spot.

Why is it that Steeleye Span don't seem to have much merchandise? I'd kill for a skinny fit t-shirt (or any t-shirt come to think of it) that has the swooshing SS logo on it. I'm sometimes tempted to make my own one, but think that if any band deserve money made from over-priced merchandise, it's Steeleye. Is Cropredy likely to yield any band specific clothing?

Hi Jess

There is a good chance that some merch will be available, whether it will include t shirts and the like i don't know for sure, but something should crop up.

Last year's tee shirt is the first one I've bought - I wear it when I feel my day needs brightening up!

Worn it at work a few times- and found a few closet Fairport/Cropredy fans among the people there.

Hi Ann

Welcome to the board

Its amazing how many people say  "Fairport Convention, i've heard of them, i liked that song they did called "perfect"".

But there is a fair few of us about who like FC.

See you in August.  Look out for People wearing Fezzes and Tiaras and come and say hello.

Hi and welcome, Ann.  I wish I was brave enough to wear any of my (growing) collection of FC t-shirts to work...  Having spent most of my life being castigated in one way or another for my "taste" in music I just don't go there any more...  Must get myself something a little more subtle at Croppers.

Having said that, I hope this years' design is a bright and eye-catching as last years (that'll set the cat amongst the pigeons), I do like that t-shirt and I don't seem to have had the print peeling off troubles that others have reported.  Mine's still in fine fettle.

Sod it.  I'm off to the Fairport merch site to see what I can acquire.  Retail therapy here I come... Smiley

Sad Just looked at the merch and the polo shirt only comes in XL.  I know I'm rapidly expanding these days, but don't quite qualify for an XL yet.  Just have to wait for Croppers I suppose.

... because you will qualify for XL after three days of good living at Cropredy? (Runs for cover)

Staying on topic. I too like last year's bright shirt.

That was certainly NOT to my cup of tea!

Like music, we all have differing tastes, I reckon....

2004 - the stained glass window one.  We've only been going to Cropredy since 2000 so only a few to choose from.  No peeling problems with last year's design.

And look out for a St. John member looking vaguely like the piccie (it was at my sister's wedding) and come and say hello to me too!
