Have you seen Jethro Tull's 'rider'?  Shocked Shocked
http://www.thesmokinggun.com/backstagetour/tull/tull1.html

Oh, for ****'s sake, what happened to "Amps, KFC, and make sure the monitor engineer has enough coke to keep him awake for at least the first set"? And that's only page fourteen? And thanks for the final item - if sign language interpreters are provided, please position them away from the stage as they can be a distraction. Not as much a distraction as all the people in front of the stage shouting "get off you dull old hippies", surely?

All seven pages of it.  Shocked

No, I don't think the budget will stretch to Tull.  Tongue

Peel

Heavens!! Shocked Shocked

That is amazing.........

I'll just make a copy of that just for future reference, you understand....

What a great website.

Lots of reading up on other bands for those dark winter evenings (which are fast approaching I fear !)

I'm sure Roy and hayley could look after it
Is that Roy and Hayley from Coronation Street or Roy and Hayley from The Archers?  Wink

As many ex Fairport members as possible - it would be great to have RT, Swarb and Maartin Allcock all on the stage at the same time

Other acts I'll like to see at Cropredy:
Blackmore's Night
Seth Lakeman
Fiddlers Bid
Colvin Quarmby (return booking!)
Martyn Joseph

Sandalfoot, I also have a weakness for Blackmore's Night, despite the fact that they occassionally slip into (unintentional?) parody and end up sounding like Balkan Eurovision entries of yesteryear. I imagine they would be too expensive for Cropredy though. Since I saw them a few years back (in Reading Town Hall!) they seem to play only in German castles. Start building the backdrop now...

Bellowhead were excellent at WOMAD this year. Not sure about some of their material, but they are very entertaining.

I was at that gig too!.....
Trouble is, they reserve the front few rows at each gig for punters dressed up in their preferred garb....can you imagine them trying that on at Cropredy???....

As you say, almost certainly too erxpensive for Cropredy.

At this year's Beautiful Days, the Levellers announced a Masked Ball and asked everyone to wear a mask for their final set. Pretty much everyone did. It was quite an amazing sight!  Cool

So anything's possible...

In terms of "younger" artists, Can I suggest the Peatbog Faeries, an excellent mix of scottish folk with a cracking rythm section!

I agree on the idea of having a set each day...each with 'special' guests.. and while i'm on the fantasy thread, i'd personally love to hear Judy,Christine, and Vikki all together, imagine... a monster version of 'Sloth' with Richard flaying the fretboard !  Cool

Wainwrights Rufus, Martha and Loudon
Earl Okin
Family Mahone
Bellowhead
and Fairport featuring mamajude

all at the same time, with the Irish dancing girls, and giant wooden emu puppets, and free beer for anyone wearing a fez/tiara, and wall-to-wall sunshine, and if Rufus wanted to crowd surf in the noddy then that would be fine too

let's make it happen people

The SPOOKEY MENS CHORALE  I saw these guys four times at Towersey and they are extremeley talanted and excruciatingly funny in a testosterone loaded way...line from one of their songs..

" We are the spooky men
                We dream of mastadons
                Practice mysterious handshakes
And we can grow beards if we want to.."

Another of their songs titled "Don't stand between a man and his Tool" reminded me so much of Cocker and his shed.  Check them out at
