Plant! Why Plant? There are so many others who could play wide on the left - Allcock, Sanders, Leslie, Ar Braz to mention but a few.

Ralph Mctell as a substitute for Long Rev. He's played that position before.

Let's see Christine Collister in the line up, either as a singer with Fairport, as a solo turn, or with the Dave Kelly Band.

Much as I dislike cheering anyone from Manchester who wears red on a regular basis, we have to have Maart powering through stage right. I can just see Jude in the Peter Crouch position.

I'd like the Fairport's show in three parts:
Thursday - really early stuff with someone good to do the Sandy bits,
Friday - A Swarbrick-related extravaganza,
Saturday - Newer post Swarb stuff (the time I got into Fairport, funnily enough, was a Steeleye girl, then someone said "If you like them, you'll LOVE these..."
Sat nite could be allsorts, starting at 8pm please.
Thank you.
That's all.

How about one of the days being "related projects"? Swarb and Carthy; RT Band; Iain Matthews Plainsong; Jethro Tull featuring Pegg/Allcock/Sanders. You know the kind of thing.

Not a bad idea, but, PLEASE, not Jethro Tull again. I love their music, but their live performances are just so.....whats the word?.........decrepit these days

"Liege and Lief" please and how about a set featuring the various Fairporters with Albion Band line ups - imagine seeing Julie While or someone similar fronting the band doing the Red Barn Murder etc.
Some of the first album with the surviving members would be great too..
Lets hope that there will be no flight restrictions etc across the Atlantic come 2007.

Very good ideas. Sound appealing to me.
Thursday: old stuff or lets rather call it `youth stuff`with everybody avaliable from that time Friday: related projects (in that context. saw Jethro Tull a few months back: far from retired or decrepit. Sure worth a trial Saturday: current line up with guests like Christy Moore, Kate Bush, and how about a slot for Beausoleil or the likes ?
