), perhaps a Librarian set (Jude wanders around shelving and shouting 'shhhhhh' loudly every so often) and finally a complete performance of the first Fairport album plus Ribbon Bow... Now, that would do me just fine... Jude, could I possibly join you? I could do harmony on the ´shshhhhh` Staffan

4-4-2 Mattacks
Matthews Hutchings Nicol Swarbrick
Female Voicalist Au Choix Conway Peggy Plant
Thompson Donahue
What we need here is an opposing team: Obviously we'll have MacGowan in goal and Bragg would play mid-field to support the strikers. Stewart in defence. So who else? (Who have surprisingly never played at Cropredy)

Now let's not cause divisions - John Martyn solo on Friday night followed by Mostly Autumn just to get everyone singing along Judging by the number of people singing along on Friday night, JM can do that himself! What happened to a band called "Tarras"? I have two CDs by them - they're both excellent. They'd be good Cropredy material. Karine Polwart and Juliet Turner are both pretty good, as is a girl called Hayley Hutchinson. If they want to follow up 10cc, there's two versions of the Rubettes to choose from...

I don't think Tarras exists anymore, unfortunately. I saw Ben Murray and Rosie Doonan as a duo a few months ago at Dartford. John (can't remember his surname) also formerly of Tarras joined them for a couple of songs. They were very good. I'll second a vote for Karine Polwart - I think she would be well received.

I'll second that.....and with a recent album to push, they might be up for the trip without asking for top-dollar!

The only problem is that I think they'd be capable of selling it out their own. And we know what happens when the festival is full of those only waiting for one band to come on.....

Very true. But put them oj Thursday night when you (inexplicably) can't get a day only ticket and then you'll a. rake in the money and b. be rid of them all for the rest of the weekend.

But put them oj Thursday night when you (inexplicably) can't get a day only ticket and then you'll a. rake in the money and b. be rid of them all for the rest of the weekend. Unfortunately, having got them to pay £80 a ticket to see Horslips, I reckon they may just want to get their value for money & stick around (either in the campsite getting bored & p*ssed) or on the arena field (getting bored & p*ssed). Better on Friday night & then they may only be a problem on the Saturday, rather than all weekend. But for this reason, I can't see it happening - I think they're *too* popular for Cropredy's size. Yes, Jim - that CD.
