An idea for the "novelty act" spot??  Probably cheaper than Hayseed Dixie as well!!

If you want a novelty act, then you can't do better than The Boxhedge Clippers.

You'll never see a guitar solo like that again, I tell ya Cheesy

However they should take Friday evening for a stroll through Ashley's influence on folk rock, now that would be something to see.

But PLEASE without long rambling commentaries between songs. Just rip through the repertoire.

Ashley is one bloke I'm happy to listen to - he is a marvellous music historian who brings new colour to songs in his explanations on a par with Martin Carthy.

The Jerry Donahue Band.

That would be Big Brother & the Holding Company then..... :-)

Currently on tour in the UK, I only learned yesterday that Jerry is playing with them. Last gig tonight in Telford undortunately....

or it could be the Country Blues Band  ( Jerry Donahue ,Garry Fletcher,Clive Bunker) who backed Linda Gail Lewis at Colne R&B over the bank holiday, Big Brother and the Holding Company were on the same bill.

Nope - Jerry was actually playing as the guitarist in BB&THC.  It seems a bit of a bizarre mix to me, but anyway...Unfortunately I didn't get to see them but a friend did and took some photos.  He's semi-pro ish so I just need to check he's ok about having them up here, but if he is I'll upload a couple of Jerry and Big Brother in Leeds.

Not to mention the Belgrade Theatre in Coventry.

But back to the topic - what chances of an original line up reunion? Anyone know what happened to Shaun Frater?

And Warwick University Arts Centre, which is also in Coventry and not in Warwick...

Right then,
I can't be ars*d to trawl throught all of the previous posts - sorry all. And I *KNOW* this lot will have been proposed already so I apologise for repeating them but I dont apologise for being the first MikeC to propose them  Cheesy Grin

So can we PLEASE have Helen, James, Shane, the twins  Wink Wink Wink and the rest of the Blue house  (and whoever plays with them in Aug 2007)

Well, we are looking for *proper groups* next year aren't we?
