The publicity was almost non-existent...and, surprise surprise, so were the crowds - but then they were the last time Big Brother came over and the time before that and they keep coming back...there's obviously some eternally optimistic promotors about!

Who else is in the band these days, and what songs are in the set? - I believe they're playing in our area soon, so I might venture out...

That's David Getz.   Sam Andrew is the main man of Big Brother and would assume he's with them....

Big Brother is Sam Andrew and Peter Albin.  Dave Getz participates when the mood takes him (he's on this European tour but in the past hasn't been).  Plus one of a number of Janis replacements / impersonators and a lead guitarist, who is not normally Jerry D  Smiley

I saw BB at Beverley in 02 and that was arguably the best gig I've seen since RT's legendary shredding of 'Sloth' at Cropredy in 89.

There were about 7 people in the audience. Albin asked us to use our mobiles to get our mates to come in, it was so dire. I didn't expect them to be good in those circumstances - and they didn't do any encores! But, while they were onstage, they BURNED!!. So much so I bought the latest BB album which has some pretty groovy moments.

The week before I'd seen Fairport play to the same house packed to the rafters - and much as I'd enjoyed that, BB all but eclipsed the memory. For days afterwards, all I could say was "******g brilliant! ******g brilliant!"

So, yeah, I'm annoyed too. BB with Donahue..?!?!? WOW!!!!
