Cropredy '83 - Simon tunes his Rickenbacker in some very tasteful shorts and Peggy opines, topless. Steady girls, he's taken....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KeXnkkxdRR4&feature=related

The usual apologies for any unwitting double posting but while I'm here, Simon & Swarb doing Time To Ring Some Changes, from 1981. Blimey, you did spend a lot of time at Pebble Mill, didn't you Mr. Nicol?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kq4g6aiEYWQ&feature=related

Nice one....particularly enjoy Swarb and Bruce trying to out earring each other....

So, did Peggy play any solo dates after Cocktail Cowboy came out...if so, with whom?

Yes, he did with Chris Leslie (fiddle, mandola and vocals), Andrew Loake (guitar, mandolin and vocals), Trevor Foster (drums), Simon Graty (keyboards and guitar) and Neil Gauntlett (pedal steel, bass and vocals). From a press cutting in the Box of Peggs book

I saw Dave Pegg & His Cocktail Cowboys live at the Half Moon in August 1983 - just a few days after Cropredy. And quite enjoyable it was, too. It was the first time I met Chris. We had a long and pleasant conversation over a chinese takeaway after the soundcheck that evening. Can't recall too much of the set list, but they did most of Peggy's soloalbum and I distinctly remember a medley of tunes I've never heard before or since.

PORTMEIRION as you've never heard it before -- with guest bassist Daniel S. Duvall (me).  On September 18, 2002, I sat in for this one tune with Fairport at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood, California (USA).  This event came about basically because I politely wrote to the band before the tour and asked if I could play this one number with them, and they said yes!

When Led Zeppelin meet The Who.

Ever wondered what happens when rock gods meet?

What do they talk about?

Who do they talk about?

Who could they possibly name drop when they are that famous?

Well Jude obviously...... That's who!

Check out Percy's comment at 3.57
