That's on a video or DVD somewhere .. can't remember which one offhand, but I know I've got it! The B&W shots were from a warm up rehearsal, no audience in the Mill.

I'm sure it's that Ken Russell documentary, Amy....
And yes, it was the Monday warm-up rehearsal in The Mill that same year. I thought it clever that the B&W bits were rehearsal, the colour bts Cropredy.

Yes it's very cleverly put together.
Can't comment on where it's from until I find it .. somewhere in this house...

Loved the Dirty Linen clip. Yep that sure wasn't a Woodbine Swarb was toking on! And how cool is Peggy? He didn't even have to look at his bass until it got really complicated! Jules

This is part of the film "Glastonbury 71" (I think), which was released some years ago. Bl---dy br----nt film; I had it on video, lent it to someone and it was then lost. Disaster! But it is an excellent document, not just of some great music, but also as a piece of social history. Some fascinating crowd scenes which give a real flavour of those heady, and long gone now, times.

The film was called Glastonbury Fayre.
I bought a new copy of the video a couple of years ago when it was re-released so I imagine its still available somewhere, or there is a DVD of it going on e-bay now at (LINK REMOVED - SEE BELOW)

Even ignoring our heroes, the Terry Reid footage alone makes it worth the price of admission..... what a talent...

Apprently not. I have removed the link. The video no longer appears to be available, though, even on Amazon. Sandra

The film received a VHS release during the 1990s but has since been deleted and has not been made available on DVD. It was filmed by Nic Roeg and produced by Puttnam!! Go to http://www.c-image.com/paulmisso/for some fantastic photos of the festival!

Memories of that time - Swarb leaving the stage while Simon and the other two Daves were playing something to cadge fags... Swarb and Peggy trying to play so fast that Simes couldn't keep up (Dagenham Roundhouse 1971)... But he bloody well did - that nice white or creamTelecaster... Playing at the Crystal Palace Bowl...

Can I be your friend then please? It would be like getting to know Julie in a second hand kind of way... Would it be ok if I called you Ms Christie?
